Get ready for an exciting night with BuffaLUG! Our September Meeting will be held on Monday, September 22 at 6:00 PM, and we’ve got a packed agenda full of creativity, collaboration, and fun.

First up, we’ll kick things off with an optional Group Build Activity where we’ll be recording a build of LEGO Set 10349: Happy Plants. If you’d like to join in, bring your own set or team up with someone else who has one—it’s a great chance to relax, build together, and enjoy some shared creativity.

We’ll also have a Jambalaya Update to share. The traveling LUG Jambalaya box—a community project where LUGs across the country swap parts, sets, and surprises as the box makes its way from group to group—has officially arrived at BuffaLUG from our friends at Steel City LUG! We’ll be exploring its contents, adding some of our own contributions, and getting it ready to continue its journey on to ROCLUG in October. It’s a fun way to connect with other LUGs and keep the spirit of collaboration moving.

And finally, the highlight of the month: our Seed Part Challenge, held in collaboration with I LUG NY. This creative showdown challenges everyone to build something using the same LEGO element as a required part of their creation. The seed part is the Plate, Modified 8 x 8 with Grille and Hole in Center (Part 4151b). Whether you dream up a spaceship, a sculpture, or something completely unexpected, the challenge is to incorporate this piece in a clever and surprising way. Bring your completed build to the meeting to share with fellow builders, and don’t forget—you can also post your entry on Instagram by September 30 using #BUFFALUGVSILUGNY.
